For classes visiting Geneva

One of the assets of Geneva on the world stage is its ability to welcome a very large number of international players. The Eduki Foundation offers visits, meetings and presentations of International Geneva for classes, which will allow them to discover some of the main organizations established in the city.

The decisions taken in Geneva have a direct impact on our daily lives in a multitude of areas: humanitarian aid, human rights, weather forecasting, copyright law, innovation, international trade, telephone use, nature conservation, vaccine regulations .

According the availability of the class, the Eduki Foundation offers 3 modules to visit International Geneva and to discover this important sector for Switzerland.

1 day to discover international Geneva

10.00 – 11.00 am Guided tour of International Geneva with Eduki
11.00 – 11.30 am Quiz on International Geneva with Eduki
11.30 – 1.30 pm  Outdoor lunch (not provided)
2.00 – 4.00 pm Visit of the UN or the International Red Cross Museum; Conference-debate with an expert from an international organization or NGO.

2 to 4 days with experts of international cooperation

Meeting with experts from International Geneva from different entities such as international organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), diplomatic missions. These meetings can also be organized around one or more themes or fields of action.

Example on the theme "Humanitarian aid, Refugees and Migration":

DAY 1
10.00 – 11.00 am  Guided tour of International Geneva with Eduki
11.00 – 11.30 am Quiz on International Geneva with Eduki
11.30 – 1.30 pm   Lunch break
2.00 – 4.00 pm Visit of the UN or the International Red Cross Museum; Conference-debate with an expert from an international organization or NGO.
 
DAY 2
10.00 – 11.30 am Refugees: presentation by the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR)
11.30 – 1.30 pm Lunch break
2.00 – 3.00 pm  Migration: a panel discussion with an expert from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
 
DAY 3
10.00 – 11.30 am  Conference-debate: what are the challenges of working in the filed? (Doctors without borders / ICRC)
11.30 – 1.30 pm Lunch break
2.00 – 3.00 pm The position of States: meeting with a diplomatic mission.

The schedules are to be established with the group, in order to allow free time to visit local Geneva too.
