International Cooperation Workshops

Discover how artificial intelligence is transforming our society and reflect on its opportunities, risks and impact.

This interactive workshop, co-led by the Fondation pour Genève and the Fondation Eduki, invites students to explore the many facets of artificial intelligence and its growing influence on our daily lives. Through participatory activities, quizzes and discussions, students examine the opportunities and challenges of AI.

The workshop also encourages participants to reflect on the need for international governance of artificial intelligence. By discovering initiatives led within international Geneva, students consider the role that international organisations, companies and citizens can play in promoting the responsible and ethical development of AI.

A workshop exploring the themes addressed in the comic Code Critique, created by the Fondation pour Genève to mark its 50th anniversary. A thematic resource pack will soon be available to support its use in the classroom.

Explore the major challenges of the 2030 Agenda through the concrete example of sustainable consumption and production.

This workshop, offered by the Fondation Eduki, enables students to become familiar with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by making connections between the different goals and the major challenges to be addressed at the global, national and local levels.

Through interactive quizzes and group activities, the workshop places particular emphasis on SDG 12, which focuses on sustainable consumption and production. It also showcases local best practices and solutions developed by students as part of the Eduki Competition, with the aim of encouraging young people to reflect on their own actions for a more sustainable world.

Discover the environmental footprint of digital technologies and solutions for a more sustainable use of technology.

Although digital technology is often perceived as immaterial, it relies on infrastructure and resources that have a significant impact on the environment. This workshop raises students’ awareness of the environmental consequences of digital technologies, from the extraction of raw materials required to manufacture digital devices to their use and end-of-life management.

Through a range of group activities, participants also explore the challenges of sustainable development and the role of international cooperation in finding solutions. Drawing on the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals, the workshop invites them to reflect on ways of reconciling technological innovation with environmental protection.
