Think global and act local

The world has set a deadline for the year 2030 to act for the planet. By adopting their 15-year action plan with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), United Nations member states have given a strong and clear signal of their commitment to work together to tackle the root causes of inequality and guarantee a sustainable development for all people around the world.

Without changing our consumption and production habits, without making our cities less polluting, without concretely fighting climate change, sustainable development is impossible.

To think about these topics, try to reverse this trend and offer new perspectives for the future, participate in the Eduki competition!

The Eduki 2021/2022 competition offers participants the opportunity to explore the SDGs 11, 12 and 13, which aim to:

•    Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable
•    Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
•    Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

These three especially interconnected SDGs beg the questions:

•    What behaviours can I promote to respond to the climate emergency?
•    How much waste do I produce and how can I reduce it?
•    How can I contribute to a caring and safe environment in my neighbourhood?

Use your creativity to imagine messages and ideas of action for a more sustainable world. Your contributions will be presented at the Awards ceremony held at the UN office in Geneva on 4 May 2022.

Become agents of change, bringing your voice to the global dialogue on our future!
