For the 10th edition of its competition, Eduki invites young people from all over Switzerland to get involved and raise their voices on a topic more relevant than ever. Through artistic creations, media projects, or concrete actions, participants will imagine a digital transformation that puts people and the environment at its core.

Eduki National Competition
Every two years, Eduki organizes a competition for children and young people from all over Switzerland, focused on international cooperation. It offers students and teachers the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at contributing to global development, promoting the well-being of all, and protecting the environment.
The goal? Inspiring and mobilizing young students throughout Switzerland as agents of sustainable change.

Françoise Demole Award
The Françoise Demole Award supports projects or project ideas by young people in Switzerland relating to “International Geneva” and sustainable development, with funding of up to CHF 10,000. Open to secondary II students in the “Concrete action” category of the competition, it enables innovative concepts related to the theme of the edition to be implemented.

Educational Approach
- Educational approach: the competition aligns with several pedagogical strategies that promote understanding of global issues and youth engagement, such as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Education for Global Citizenship (ECM).
- Transversal Skills: Participating in the competition helps develop key skills such as collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
- Interdisciplinary Learning: Each edition of the competition addresses specific themes related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or aligned with objectives from Swiss curricula (Plan d’études romand, Lehrplan 21,
A sustainable 360° view
- The Eduki team is endeavouring to take the three pillars of sustainable development into account as far as possible through a range of approaches:
- Environmental: reduction of printing, use of recycled paper, local and seasonal products, and tap water at events.
- Social: promoting inclusion, interaction and collaboration between students of all levels, educational backgrounds and geographic regions.
- Economic: prizes, donated by public and private partners, are vouchers for school equipment or cultural/sports activities. Within the limits of the allocated funds, Eduki also supports class trips for the award ceremony.
