Creative workshops: Dialogues on Humanity
Discover the creative workshops “Dialogues on Humanity” at the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum (MICR) in Geneva. Teachers can choose between two creative paths when registering: one focused on nature (‘message to nature’) and the other on digital technology (‘the real and the fictional”).
These themes can be linked to current global issues and conflicts, but also, more subjectively, to each individual’s personal experience. Students will be invited to reflect on what these concepts mean to them and then express their thoughts in an artistic and creative way.
This activity is preceded by a visit to the MICR’s permanent exhibition.
Activity format
- Museum visit (MICR permanent exhibition – 45 min)
- Creative workshop (50 min)

From September 2024 to May 2025, we had the pleasure of welcoming 440 students from 14 schools in 4 cantons to the International Museum of the Red Cross and Red Crescent (MICR) in Geneva.
Through 16 creative workshops (painting, writing, digital creation) and 17 visits to the MICR, young people from secondary schools I and II – and even 3 primary school classes – explored major global humanitarian issues and expressed their thoughts in an original way.
