La Boîte d’Or: Expressions on the Rights of the Child

Portrait Eglantyne Jebb

In September 2024, to celebrate the centenary of the Geneva Declaration on the Rights of the Child, Fondation Eduki launched the digital campaign "La Boîte d’Or: Expressions on the Rights of the Child," aiming to collect messages from Swiss youth and public figures from International Geneva committed to children’s rights.

On November 20, 2024, International Children’s Rights Day, the campaign culminated in an inspiring mosaic featuring the portraits of 19 public figures supporting this initiative. As a tribute to Eglantyne Jebb, initiator of the Geneva Declaration and founder of Save the Children, her portrait is at the center of this mosaic, surrounded by words selected from over 300 messages sent by children and youth from 20 schools across five cantons. This visual symbolizes the connection between past and present concerns, illustrating how young people, through their words, continue the fight for the recognition of their rights.
