History

Recognized expertise of one of the world's major international cooperation hubs

2006

The origin of the Eduki Foundation goes back to the creation in 2006 of an educational program to introduce young people to International Geneva. The Mandat International Foundation had proposed a test project to the Department of Public Education, Training and Youth of the Canton of Geneva to discover the organizations involved in cooperation work and the impact of the decisions taken in Geneva by the international institutions based here. The target audience was high school students and teachers. Following the good results of the first test year, the project was renewed year after year.

2011

In 2011, Mandat International deemed it appropriate to allow the program to be fully developed by transferring it to the Eduki Foundation, a dynamic new foundation exclusively devoted to issues of education and raising awareness for young people about international cooperation.

The Eduki Foundation has become the gateway between international institutions and young people.

Since then, every new school year Eduki has the pleasure to see the growth of its activities by:

  • the number of visits for pupils
  • a greater diversity in the proposed activities
  • the participation of an increasing number of enthusiastic participation of international institutions in EDUKI's activities.

And of course, a broader collaboration with teachers.
